Okay to take a day off from your diet?

Taking an occasional 'day off' from the diet is probably a good idea, as it increases the probability that you will stay with the diet longer overall. I stayed with a friend for about a year, and he had a serious weight problem, and we tried to eat only good food, and not overeat during the week, but basically took the weekends off. It worked pretty well, and he lost quite a bit of weight,,, but unfortunately, he got married, so I left. (didn't get along well with his girlfriend/wife.... and he didn't either, as she left him after a few years, (and two children).
