You can't marry a Muslim and remain a Christian. It's not permitted in Islam. You must convert to Islam. It's likely too late to change anything now since you've likely committed to him, and you'll not be permitted to change your mind without serious consequences. It's nothing to do with race. Islam simply doesn't compromise on anything, especially with weak Christians.
