Why do indians think theyre same as pakistani?

Its not just Indians its, Iranians and middle eastern and white who don't understand the ethnic make up of Pakistan, Pakistan is made up of Punjabi 75 million and Pushtons 35 million,sindhi 36 million now punjabis and sindhis in india make a very small proportion of indians and pushtons are virtually non existent so why do indians think they look like us or that we are the same when clearly we are a different genetic admixture. When will people accept we are different ethnically?
